The sudden kiss threw her off, and a light tint of red danced across her cheekbones. Old feelings started to resurface even more. She was going to lean back into the kiss more until he pulled away. Shaking off the embarrassment she started to Grin from ear to ear and that was just what she needed to get the strength to become more strong about the whole situation. "It's fine, Gaz, really.. I..." The dog bark startled her and she forgot momentarily what had just happened, but the warmth of his lips still felt as if they were still planted on hers. "We should probably head back.. Don't want to worry Zag and the kids, now do we?" She chuckled some as he tucked the gun into the hemline of her jeans up front, with the safety off she was careful so the trigger wouldn't be tugged on anything, covering the other half of the gun with her T-shirt. After they grabbed the weapons she declared that we should leave half should we run out of ammunition or be attacked. She favoured a sword that the shiny blade captured her eye and she placed it in its sheath before lugging it around. Another was a sledge hammer, despite her size she was sure she could carry it but she decided to leave it. Just as they we about to leave, she had her hands full and looked back at Gaz. "You have a vehicle here...? We should drive back and bring it to the café in case we need to make a get away..." Turquoise eyes stared at him lovingly, but she noticed the way she was staring and closed her eyes to smile some more. She was undoubtably cheerful, especially since what just happened not even an hour ago.

Day 00

"Ah... one second~. We didn't get anything yet." he chuckled before quickly rounding into the living room and simply hitting a switch by the mock fireplace. This house? It was custom built just for Gaz, he'd saved up years for this place to be a utopia of hidden doors and secret compartments. Maybe this should be where they are instead of the cafe. That made him think a bit harder. "Hey Lilith, think maybe we should bring everyone here? I've got extra rooms, a full basement, and I'm pretty sure it'll take some hell of a throw to break the windows.." he trailed as the rotating shelf presented his more... custom saw and some other various items. He thought a bit longer on it, the cafe didn't offer much more than an interior room and a couple of good hiding places. Gaz was positive that if food ran short he and Zag could easily get more just by their general stealth when working as a team.
Back at the cafe, it was getting a bit different. There were things moving around the back that had Zag a bit more... cautious than he was. Those things? Massive dogs. They were beyond help by the way their skin had became scaly and their tails nothing but bone... but they were viscious and tearing into everything they could snap at before they'd noticed the window of watching eyes. Now? Those three massive mutants were snarling and snapping at the glass, coating the clear material in thick trails of hot saliva and thick gastly breath. The darker purple backed up, turning to the onlooking children with a frown, "We. Need to leave. The glass won't hold'em out for long..." he paused to dig something out of the nearby cabinet and toss it to Eventide, the object? A standard handgun much like the one Red carried.
"You take that." Zag gestured and tugged a bat out, tossing this one to Roka and then a nailgun to Uri. "That's them, now for us..." he gestured Kari over, "Don't tell your dad I gave it to you." The male threw in before tugging an older model chainsaw out of the cabinet. "I trust you a little bit more than the kids with this. Solar powered, won't die on you. Like Gaz's it's hydro-pumped when not in sunlight, so that the smoke? Doesn't smell, don't attract attention. It's just steam." he grinned and shifted out of her way before picking up a fireaxe from beneath the couch. "Now let's make this fast, it's a straight run to Gaz's house. I want you to run as fast as you can and do not look back. I'll stay back to make sure you get there safe, but I'll be right behind you." he waited til' everyone was out of the lounge to slam the door and follow them to the glass double-doors. "Remember. Straight to Gaz's. Don't look back. If you hear barking, run faster." he nodded and unlocked the front door for them.

Letting out a laugh, "Oh! Right! I'm just worried more about Kari. I hope she's really fine. With that Devon kid gone.. It's puppy love I keep telling myself... The way she just buried her emotions like that. She certainly didn't get it from me. Sooner or later those feelings will... Come back to bite me in the butt..." She sighed some, but the more she thought about it the more she was scared of Kari being pushed to the edge and taking what feelings Lilith had towards her dating or what her father did to finish his misery. She listened to Gaz's plan and she nodded. "Why didn't you say so sooner, silly. Let's go get them then." She clutched onto the sword she brought up from the basement and waited patiently for the secondary by the door. Having an awful feeling in her gut, she opened the front door to peek through, still silence. Nobody was seen. This made her brow twitch. Something was wrong, a Mothers intuition never lies.
Kari stared out the glass with horror. Lifting her shirt to allow Loki to coil himself around her waist, as it did she lowered her shirt then made her way to Zag she looked at him with worrisome eyes, a shade of green that resembled so much of her father it was eerie. "WH-what?! Go out there... With the kids?" She whispered glancing back at the three of them with weapons, but looking back at Zag she swallowed her fear instantly. She had to. Fear cannot overcome her or she'll be killed. Or worse. Have those innocent lives ended because of her being controlled by her doubts. Being handed the chainsaw, she stared at it. Never using one before, she will have to learn and fast "I can do this..." Her voice somewhat lowered but had no emotion behind them. The worry on her face softened and with the lack of emotion, she put on a brave face. "We'll wait.. Until you have them all distracted over here. Be careful, Zag.." She watched as the doors closed then looked at the kids, "You heard him... No looking back. Just keep running. Let's go." She waited for the kids to begin running because she wanted to keep them insight rather than leave them behind. If anything came from ahead, the used to be track and field running star would push past them and saw them in half.

Day 00

Post by Purple on Jun 9, 2014 1:29:49 GMT
The sound of panic caught his attention, or maybe it was just his 'Zag did something dumb' senses going off, but nonetheless he was quickly pushing past Lilith and out the front door where he could see the kids on their way down the street toward them when something off to the side caught his attention. Dogs? How the hell did those dogs get that big?! Weren't they just strays at the cafe a week ago? He wasn't sure, but he wasn't going to let the ones coming up along the kid's side get in his way. He turned to Lilith, "You take the kids in when they get here, I'll get the mutts." he nodded before rather quickly darting passed the gate. Seeing that Kari had that saw of all weapons made him want to ask questions, but he didn't bother since right now, there were dogs coming out of one of the old shacks nearby.
Now Gaz would never hurt an animal, never in a million years, but something about these specific animals seemed... incorrect, mostly from their mentally broken anatomy. Purple rev'd up his chainsaw just enough so the steam poured out of the exhaust fan when he'd already managed to incap two of the animals before Eventide, Roka, and Uri passed. When Kari got in his line of sights, he gave her a bit of a smile, "You look better as a leader!" he threw some pointless motivation toward her before his gaze was locked on Zag still standing at the cafe. Of course, the moment he'd glanced away, a weight hit his blade. Well, not the rotary part, but the metal that spun it.
Just like always, Zag had used that teleportation without warning him, and now the darker color was perched out in front of him, standing on the blade of the now silent saw. "Is this cheating?~" the darker color gave the secondary a smirk of pure evil before Gaz swung the blade so he had to get off. Of course landing on his feet like the showoff he is. "You always cheat.~" Purple added before grabbing his wrist and jogging back to the house behind Kari. Once everyone was inside, the tension finally erupted with the younger Obsidians.
"We could have died!" Eventide's cracking shrill voice broke the silence, but before anyone could respond, Roka simply threw one of the couch pillows at him and yawned as he removed his wig and tossed it on the coffee table. Now, if there was ever a child that looked like a carbon copy of Kiro Belmonte, it was Roka Obsidian. The moment his pigtails were gone and his natural hair showing, that was even more obvious. He was a stark blonde with some lilac streaks through his bangs, the only difference was now that the wig was gone, you could see the bandages that wrapped around his left eye from an accident between he and Even. But for now he stood up and stretched, "I'mma run to my room and find my epic apocalypse gear. I have been -waiting- for this my ENTIRE life!" obviously, this child had seen way too many movies for his own tastes. "Hey Kari! I have a second-totally-awesome outfit if you want it! I could probably make a quick modification for Loki a spot too!" his attentions moved to Uri now, "And you too! I have something for you too! Come come!"

Fear clouded her mind and her heart began to race seeing the kids run for their lives. One was about to jump for Uri until Kari kicked it away with brute force causing it to stumble back. A loud whimper was heard, Gaz suddenly spoke to Lilith which made her jump. She's really on edge since the scene of seeing those children being chased by such beasts. Nodding her head furiously she followed behind, stopping at the gate. The kids finally ran through the gate and she ushered them inside. "Come on now! Inside! What are those things?!" Lilith exclaimed, watching the kids one by one enter the house. Kari stopped by her mother huffing, looking back to Gaz once she heard the sound of a revving of the chainsaw cutting through something. It's blood sprayed everywhere, pools of blood here and there. The blood just reminded her... No, she shook her head and looked back to her mother. "I would have stayed and helped Zag.." She spoke quietly, looking at the unused chainsaw in her hands. "But the kids were there so I couldn't have... I hope he isn't.." Her question was answered once she seen the teleporting purple appear by Gaz who had taken out the mutts. "Oh, wow... Teleportation.. Never seen that before." She stared in Awe before Lilith chuckled some, "Haha, That's Zag for you..." Lilith's hand reached out to touch her back, leading her inside the house.
Meanwhile, when everyone was inside, Lilith sat herself down to calm her heart. Kids being endangered is her biggest fear, it made her feel as if she were having a heart attack. "Well, I'm glad you children are alright." Closing her eyes and a soft smile on her lips emerged, she sighed some. Watching all the children and Kari at home made her more at ease, at least they're comfortable at home rather than at the café where god knows what could have happened if those dog like monsters could have got in. This was Kari's first time entering the Obsidian household, and her green hues wandered around the room she was in. Mostly to the pictures hanging on the wall but the kids' excitement to go change their clothes caught her attention. Looking at Roka who now was gleaming with excitement, her lips formed a smile as she kicked off her shoes at the door, of course, Lilith living in Canada for a few years before moving to Spectral Avenue, she always had removed her shoes at any household, and it's a habit Kari picked up. "Yeah, sure. Let's go see what you got." She said, ready to follow the miniature Kiro. As their children went upstairs, Lilith sighed getting up from her sitting position she stood by the window, peering outside to the street. Through the silence now and the rustling sounds on the floor from upstairs, her hearing was like a dogs. Sensitive. Outside the door, past the gates, beyond the empty streets that were in her view was that of a child. Crying out for help. She placed a hand on the glass and pressed the side of her face against it, to widen her range of sight but nothing. She can hear him. Her heart began to pound. Questions raced through her mind and then.... She panicked. She went for the door and swung it open. To others was silence, but to Lilith the crying was crystal clear. She turned only to speak sternly, "Please don't let Kari follow me if she asks where I am. I won't be long..." And with that she shut the door behind her, clutching onto the sword and patting the handgun. She took off with full speed towards the crying child.

Day 00

Roka had taken them up to his room/workshop where the walls were lined in various materials and there were pictures of various colors with measurements with them around the room, mostly above a desk covered in pictures of patterns. "Eevee doesn't let me dress him up, s'why he looks so bad." the blonde nodded as he opened up the front of a mock bookshelf and wandered into a closet. "Wait right there..." he hummed as he began digging around the dozens of various costumes and gowns. Uri on the otherhand was looking at all the pictures around the room before glancing to Kari, "This is kinda creepy, right? Lookit all these creepy deets. Bust size? Hip ratio? What is this... pornstar casting? Sheesh." she picked up a picture of Zag and snickered, "God he's a faggot." she smiled some before Roka had pranced back into the room with three outfits in haul.
"Okay! So they're kinda unisex, so not really girly if that's what you'd like." he hummed, tossing two of them on his bed and the other on his desk. "That one's mine, but these two are yours'." The outfits on the bed were actually pretty movie typical, but with some pizzazz. The one for Kari was a nice comfort fit black top with one sleeve having grunge-caution-stripes, and the other a nice black-white checkered mix. The center being a deep-almost-black purple with some leather buckles down the middle so the zipper was secure even if it were attempted to be unzipped. From the thickness of the rib-area on the top, it looked bulletproof. The bottom was a pair of jeans it looked, but were laced with leather down the sides til' about midknee where it went to solid buckles with a finish to a dark purple cuff. "Here's the cool thing about your's, the top latches secure enough that if Loki is around your waist, and someone shoots there, the material with tense up and neither of you will be hurt. It's a custom design by me!" for a kid, this one knew his way around a sewing machine.
"And Uri!" he pointed to her's, "I went far enough on this one to add a hole for your tails, that way it's more comfortably fit and you won't lose stealth." he notioned to the rest of it, "Made sure it was girly enough to not take away from you since that's your style. It matches Kari's, but the bottom has a leather skirt with a ruffle to the bottom, loose enough to not trip you up, tight enough to stop a swinging axe." he grinned, "You're free to pick whatever shoes you want, there's fingerless gloves to both along with utility belts that will hold the weapons Uncle Zag gave you, the chainsaw has a backstrap that will keep it from being knocked out of your hands. Something like the one dad used to wear before he got stupid.~ Dress up now!" he waved his fingers, "I'll go get ready in the bathroom so you girls can have the room.~" And with that? Roka was out the door.
Back downstairs, Gaz had watched Lilith closely up until she had made a bolt for the door. He nodded, "Su--" before he could finish his sentence, Zag swung his axe over his shoulder, grabbed a volt-gun and headed out the door behind her. "What the hell, Zachery??" the secondary called after him and only got a cheshire grin and a little wave. "Buddy-system, bro. You got to go adventuring last time!~" he waved again and jogged to catch right back up with Lilith. "So what're we doing?" he smiled warmly through his stitches, dark purple hair somewhat blocking out his mismatched orange and green eyes. "You seemed pretty jarred, so I figured you'd need backup in case something went wrong." he'd nod despite his near run to keep up. "If you tell me which way we're heading, I'll teleport us as far as I can see." he'd add another grin, this one seeming more willing to help than the first one that had worked it's way across his freckled face.

Once inside Roka's room, Kari looked around with fascination. This is one dedicated kid, was her thought. "Whoa.." She muttered as she began to read some of the details that were his diagrams in which he probably used to make his artwork. She could tell he could be a really high end fashion designer. Or would have been if the world isn't in the midst of humanities destruction. Catching the last part of what mini Kiro had said, she couldn't help but let out a small burst of laughter. "Oh? That's actually quite funny, if I were living with a sibling like yourself I would be on your case about my next outfit." She gave him a grin before he went to go pull out their ass kicking attire. Turning her attention to Uri now, the little fox criticizing Roka made her grin fade to a smile. "Not creepy at all... 'If you have a passion for something, go for it with all your heart'... Least that's what my mom tells me anyways." Shrugging some, she grabbed leaned in to glance at the picture of Zag, curious to why he was called a faggot by Uri. Ah, the joys of having siblings. She chuckled some, "Someone has a crush on 'uncle' Zag, now? Or is it just a reference picture for making clothes?" She questioned out loud. Roka returning with a armful of clothing made her gleam! Dress up time! Seeing them being tossed onto the bed made her go towards the bed. The more Roka explained to her about the unique way it was made, made her want to change even more. The way it looked non girly was a drastic change from what she was Wearing now. Grey skinny capris with cut up holes in them, patched up with black designy lace on the inside, and a black loosely fitted frilly dress top that went past her butt. She had silver necklaces dangling from her neck, and silver and black rings that decorated her fingers. Her shoes were simply white converse she decided to Color on with multicoloured sharpies. Her clothes definitely made her more girly, but she was never comfortable wearing what Devon had picked out for her to buy. Her new ones on the other hand looked absolutely comforting and most important of all, safe. She extended a hand while she let a finger dance along the fabric, blocking out their conversation, though Roka leaving caught her attention. "O-oh! Okay!" She stammered before she looked at Uri while sticking out her tongue a little for a second. "Let's get changed. I'm actually getting kind of hungry too. Faster we change. Faster we eat." Kari lifted up her top up and off and revealing Loki who had been coiled up for too long, slithered down and around her leg in spiral motions. "Hey." She said as if it were to understand her but it slithered underneath the bed. "I'll get him later. Probably tired of me moving around with him on me." She stated before she toyed around with the buckles and latches after putting the garnets on. "Uh.. Which goes where...?" She asked quietly, in her new outfit, though everything was covered she still felt a little. Awkwardly in a position where she can't move a certain way or the towel drops.
Lilith stopped at an deserted intersection, just to listen from which direction it was coming from. It was a bit clearer now that any normal hearing could hear. "That... Do you hear him..?" She began until more sounds. Unfamiliar.. Frightening sounds.her heart pounded, her eyes widened with fear as if someone were hunting her. "We are going towards the east by the sounds of it... I'm not sure correctly... I could make you teleport us someplace and be wrong about it and we'd be too late..." Her voice faded, and she listened quietly yet again. Chewing, something being devoured, but there's the continuous quiet sobbing sound remain.

Day 00
Jun 9, 2014 7:38:43 GMT
Post by Purple on Jun 9, 2014 7:38:43 GMT
Once Roka was gone, Uri didn't even hesitate in throwing her old button up and denim skirt off to the side and tugging into her new outfit. It was almost a second nature to be latching and zipping things, so her's was done in just a second. She won't go into detail about the things she'd made her parents wear when she was recording. Of course, when she saw Kari hesitate with the latches, she chuckled, her duo of fox tails wagging along behind her. "Lemme help'ya. The kid forgets that not everybody can adjust these darned things." she moved over and happily went to snapping things in place, twitching her fluffy brown ears as she worked. "It's really nice to meet an Obsidian that's not y'know. Male." Uri glanced up through ecru bangs and offered a bit of a smile, "It got to where I thought I'd be the only girl between Gaz and Zag since they never mentioned you much til' the late." once she'd stood up, she looked up to the other female with a wide smile. "You and I are gon' be invincible, mkay?~" that little sisterly tone and the bouncing to accompany it should sell her point instantly.
Outside the avenue, and alone with someone Zag had hardly met gave him a nice chance to let go of that 'caregiver' persona that Gaz gave him. In fact, he seemed more calm, if not easier to get along with. Of course, once she pointed out the sound, he began to listen more closely, holding his axe to his chest before nightmares caught his eyes. Just off the main road was the little stretch that led to the old carnival Zag and Orik had been trying to fix for what seemed like eons. But it wasn't the same, somehow, it seemed darker more grimm than it was (somehow). Then his vision cleared enough for the scene to clear up and the darkness to fade. There were flames eating at the entrance and the remains of a familiar black motorcycle rammed underneath a slow burning tanker. He took a step back now, heterochrome eyes wide and the stitches on his lips tightening up. Numbness stiffened his spine and his body temperature hit the floor, things got more real... and that made him furious. It wasn't fair. None of this was.
Zag's terrified expression went to something of disgust when he heard that thick plurging chew like noise, too many mixed emotions. Next hostile monstrocity he saw was dead, he didn't even care if it begged him for mercy. He tried to pretend he'd never seen that motorcycle, that it was all in his head, the carnival wasn't going to burn down and Orik was probably still with Kiro. Probably... Gods he hoped he was. He glanced to Lilith, "There's a daycare n-near the carnival, we could check there, sounds like where i-it's coming from.." he couldn't keep the cracks out of his tone, nor the fact that his stitches were still so tight they tore soft creases in the skin around them. Not enough to bleed, but enough to visually look torn.

After Uri had helped her with the latches and other confusing parts with this outfit, it was finally on and it fit perfectly as if it were altered already to fit her body perfectly. Reaching up to ruffle Uri's hair with a sheepish smile. "Yeah, my mom always mentioned you guys. She was certainly right about me having adorable half siblings." She reached up to her own shoulder length hair and pulled off an elastic from her wrist and tied it up into a small ponytail. "Mhm. We'll be unstoppable! Nothing will stop us at all." She childishly stuck her tongue out at her newly found little sister. Before glancing towards the arrangement of shoes, "What would you reccommend wearing for this type of situation..?" Kari questioned as she stared at the vast amount of various shoes.
Along with the other shade of Purple and seeing his reaction to the cry made her tense up. Especially the sight of the flaming carnival made her chest swell up inside. Pain, anguish. Why is this happening? The crying turned from a soft cry to a shouting out for help. "H-HELP ME MAMAA!!" Was heard by what sounded like a little boy. Looking towards the daycare you could see the front door that appeared to be forcefully broken into as they lay Half off their hinges. She took a few steps towards he day care as her eyes scanned the windows and there was a window and you could see a small boy which looked to be around the age of 6 standing on a shelf that stood in front of the window, looking back at something on the floor that he is trying get away from. "There!!" Lilith pointed at the window as she darted for the daycare. But as she got closer and past the bushes that were in her way-- the chewing noises sounded as if it were right next to her. Thinking about where she was, she froze. She didn't want to look. She didn't want to see what was making those awful noises. Her heart stopped. Her eyes widened. The little boy who was banging the glass had stopped, wondering what was wrong and why Lilith had stopped coming to his rescue. Turning her head slowly an on the ground she found to her horror, children. Toddlers. But they weren't innocent children anymore. Everything that made them angelic to Lilith had gone. Blood stained clothes, flesh ripped out of their necks, limbs, and stomachs. Her breathing became jagged as she watched them all feast on what could have been one of the daycare supervisors that watched the children. They had no interest in Lilith for they were quenching their hunger and thirst for human flesh. "No...." She whimpered as she turned her head to look away from such beasts. This confirmed that her nightmares were coming to life. She was only glad that Kari wasn't that small anymore--- THE CHILD. Lilith had no heart to harm children, dead or alive. "Take care of them, please...." She looked at Zag with a sorrowful expression across her face before running towards the entrance and jumping over the broken doors. The sword she had was now out of its sheath, gripping the handle with all her might, ready to swing when needed to. She counted the doors to her right. One... Two... Three... She stopped in front of door number three which had been shut. She placed a hand onto the door knob and gave it a jiggle. Locked. The door opened inwards so there's a chance that it could be kicked in, she looked down the halls in both direction to find the place such a mess. Papers everywhere.. Blood. She wanted to do this quickly. She stared at the door and closed her eyes momentarily. Reopening them and her hues changed from turquoise to a deep crimson. He was standing on the shelf for a reason and she was ready. Taking a deep breath and a step back before charging forward and lifting a leg and kicked the door hard enough to break the doorknob off. As it swung open, a daycare worker was zombified, but to her surprise, her legs were frozen to the floor. The heat was unimaginable outside and in but there was still ice here in the middle of nowhere. The zombie had bent it's knees by breaking them in the opposite way most likely by trying to get at him. The boy swung around at the sound of the door. He furrowed his brows and frowned. "You're not my mama..." He said quietly, the boy stared hard at Lilith with his violet eyes. The shade her eyes go when she's excitedly hyper. His somewhat shaggy blue grey hair made her know he was definitely a colour persona. "Blue grey..." She said softly, not knowing his name but he seemed to take a liking to it. Blinking a few times while his expression softened. "Mama forgot about me... Didn't she..." He whispered, feeling utterly depressed. Tears were about to well up in his eyes until Lilith stepped forward and with one stab to the head, the female worker lay motionless. "Mama must be too scared.. But I came for you.. I'll take you where no scary monsters are." A few tears slid down his cute round cheeks as he stared at her with a small smile, The boy crouched down, ready to jump into Lilith's arms until he looked past her to the door with fear. Noticing this, Lilith swung around and three workers came stumbling in one after another. Tensing up, she had no remorse for killing adult zombified people. Taking a few steps forward raising the sword she swiped it twice, decapitating two of them and after she had done that she instantly knelt down placing the blade of the sword between the third zombies legs and gripping it with both hands she swung the sword upwards splitting it in half. The little boy stared in awe, he does believe he found someone to depend on. He jumped off the shelf on his own and ran up behind her, tapping her on the hip. "We can go now.. That's all of the adults here!" He beamed up at his new hero. She offered the hand which was empty to him and he happily accepted it, and they walked out of the daycare to where She asked zag to take care of the little monsters.

Day 00
Jun 9, 2014 21:10:44 GMT
Post by Purple on Jun 9, 2014 21:10:44 GMT
"Combat boots or running shoes." Uri spoke up from where she was crouched by some of the shoes. Her heterochrome eyes trailed over things before she found a pair of brand new motor cycle boots that were just the right size. She tugged them on and just sat there a moment in silence. Some things had begun dawning on her when she'd nearly been snagged by dogs. When things came down to it, Uri might look like her dad... but she was Zag made over. The more quiet she was the more upset she started to look before she glanced over to Kari. "Hey.. do you... think my dad's okay?" her tone would trail as she pulled her knees to her chest where she sat. "I know Colors can't die... but... we nearly got tore apart by mutant dogs, what else is different now right..?" her fox ears dropped, hands coming to scrub at her face. "I begged him not to go. Why would you just... leave your family?!" she shook her head more before tightening her grip on her knees. "Now he might not never come back.."
Outside the door, Roka had stopped, his fingers lingering just on the surface of cold silver. He could hear Uri, and it froze him up. Her words wrapped his mind and then faded as he went to simply walk down the stairs. When the foxling had turned, his gaze had locked with Eventide's dull orange eye, the other still shaded off by his bright purple bangs. The two of them always looked disturbingly like their parents, perhaps that had been Colorless' plan when she'd made them. Roka quickly locked his arms around the purpling and buried his face in his chest, "We'll all die soon.." he muffled his words up until he felt the other male's bandaged arms wrap his shoulders and his face nuzzled into the top of his hair, just between his ears. "I won't let that happen to you." Eventide spoke quietly, tightening his grip on his younger sibling. Downstairs, Gaz had assembled the arsenal. Along with the weapons they'd brought from the cafe, there were now more small guns, knives, a couple of volt guns and some other various things. The coffee table was now laid out with everything and bulletproof vests were tossed on the couch. Maybe he'd always been just a bit paranoid of the end.
He wouldn't go into detail, but he had enough stuff for a small army. This included gasmasks and their required tubes, not to mention health kits and bottled water. Things looked well enough, he'd even managed to break into an old safe to find all the keys to around the avenue, they would be fine now. And at the moment, he needed to start turning the blinds so no light could enter or escape. Once all those were done, he'd hit the generator switch and turned the lights on. His family didn't need to worry about things, he'd keep them safe one way or another. Once the house was adjusted, he'd changed into something more comfortable, lacing his combat boots up just a bit looser so he could easily hide a knife down the side.
Outside the gate, Zag had readied his voltgun and looped the axe into his belt. When she'd gave him an order, a switch flipped. His once orange and green eyes seemed dark enough to be solid black, that look of disgust went empty and his stitches tightened to conceal a grin, "Gladly." he'd spoke before teleporting himself inside. There was no hestiation as he flipped the gun into the axe's spot and held the handle of the weapon with a smirk. Children or not, he didn't have much left to lose right now, his mind was empty besides a cannibalistic chanting of revenge. These kids went down easy, gurgling with eachtime the silver steel collided with a weak skull. The sound was wet, mortifying to sane ears, and the screams might have been unholy to onlookers. But there was only him right now, and yet... he froze when he noticed an untouched crib. 'Kill them all...' played through his mind, yet he walked over busted corpses to the playpen an then glanced in.
The same notion had him wide eyed and staring, more out of confusion than fear. Here lay a kid, probably not five years old, curled up with a small baby crocadile in it's grasp. No, not a stuffed one, a real fucking crocadile baby. The color of this kid's hair was as dark green a the scales on the reptile's back, with only a light brushing of brighter greens on top where the light hit. Zag just stared, something told him not to reach down, yet he did. The moment his hand got within touching distance to the child, there was a sensation he'd never really felt. It was the equivelant of dipping his fingertips in acid, it burnt to the point he threw himself back and had to muffle a scream. This seemed to wake the kid and the mysterious green glow stopped, in fact it sat up and looked at the blood covered, now bone fingered purple shade in terror. "Are you going to eat me?!" it's voice was shrill, somewhere between rage and fear. The little crocadile snapping at the edges of the punishment pen.
When it'd seen Lilith enter the room with the other little boy, he'd tucked the reptile in the collar of his shirt and climbed out. He was a short little thing, but was an obvious color just from the glow his eyes gave off as he moved. Before Zag could even speak, he was latched on to the female's leg, sticking his tongue out as Zag regained his composture and staggered over, "Is that little shit not burning through your pants?!" he held up the hand where the tips of his fingers were nothing but bone, thankfully for him it'd heal in an hour or so, but for now, he was mildly pissed off. More so about the fact that he looked even more weird now, but once he'd caught the little snuggle the child had started doing to Lilith's leg he just rolled his eyes, "That the one you were hearing?" he tilted his head to the blue grey.

Kari grabbed a pair of combat boots that were her size. The way they looked tickled her fancy. Sitting on the bed as she tugged them on, tying them on tight and buckled the straps that she did know how to do. Right as she was going to say something to break the silence, she stared at the saddened Uri. She thought of comforting words but when she was questioned about her father her heart tinged. Blankly staring at her before lowering her eyes. "I'm not one to say for sure..." Looking back, locking eyes with her. "But we'll all meet again... Yes, it is very saddening when a family member, someone who is very dear to you, leave.. But keep in mind, Uri. You have people here who love you, people here where you mean the world to them. Sure, your father may have left, but you do know that you were his princess, and you always will be." She offered a warm smile and open arms offering a hug.
Seeing the small green coloured boy made her wonder why she had not of heard him too. He didn't make a sound. Watching him jump out of the pen and dart towards her made her hesitate but the moment he clung onto her leg, her motherly instincts took over again as she rustled her hands through both of the children's hair wearing a happy smile. "What on earth are you going on abou-- oh my gosh, what happened to your hand?!" To be honest she wanted to move closer and have a taste at the exposed bones, after all, bone marrow was what she enjoyed snacking on, being a demon who devours human remains, though she wouldn't trust these zombified dead bodies, who knows whether or not she'll be infected as well, and that wouldn't be a pretty picture.. Her desire to have a taste almost broke through but she contained it with such diligence. Blinking a few times at his question, she glanced down at blue grey. "Mhm. Apparently he can channel his emotions into creating ice-- like that recent Disney movie! We have the real life Elsa here!" She chuckled a little. "You'll be okay, though? That looks rather delic-- painful." She blinked a few times until Blue Grey tugged at her red top. "Can we go please.... I don't like it here anymore... " begged as He frowned then he glanced at Issac, the bad boy of the daycare. "You were in here this entire time, Issa... You slept through everyone's screaming? Miss Annie locked herself in the room with me after she was bit.. It was scary..." He lowered his violet eyes to the ground before looking at Zag with a bit of a frightened expression.

Day 00

Those words went as comfort to Uri who wiped away the tears that had beaded against her eyelashes, "Y-you're right. Dad's probably fine... If guns couldn't stop him I don't guess zombies would either." the foxling nodded and stood up with a soft smile. She tried putting the thoughts far out of her mind as possible, "We should go downstairs and find some food... I'm hungry." her smile got a bit brighter as she darted to the door with her tails wagging. When it was open, she froze up, staring at where Eventide and Roka were in the hallway before taking a step back in and gesturing Kari over, "C'mere and look, they're actually getting along!" her tone was lowered, but still had a chime to the end. Of course, where Roka and Eventide were still standing the mood was different, it'd went from sadness to simple fear for the little foxling, something that Eventide always seemed to comfort. Despite his harder exterior, Eventide was protective of his siblings, all of them. To him, he was still the oldest son and had to do his job of protecting the other's.
Zag had continued to wriggle his fingers until he remembered Lilith's favorite snack, then they were tucked into his pocket. "This little gooball down here has an acid touch, christ." he shook his head before the kids caught his attention. "This one is covered in acid." he pointed to the kid, "No wonder their parents dumped them off here." of course those words must have felt like acid to Issac who frowned rather heavily. "Hey! My dad works all day and every night to make sure I can come here, you best be nice!" his little croc growled until he realized that his father was probably long gone, that made him grow far more quiet than usual. But when Zane had spoke to him, he turned with a bit of an awkward smile.
"What else was I gon' do when she threw me in that pin? Sing?!" he rolled his bright yellow eyes and crossed his arms some, trying to keep up that bad boy look. But when he heard that he'd been locked in a room, Issac had looped around Lilith to where Zane stood and began inspecting his arms and such. "Sh-she didn't hurt you right?! You're okay? No scratches?" he kept looking him over, only getting a soft smile from Zag who was still trying to hide it. Finally, he took a deep breath, "Alright kiddos, Lilith, let's get going. Gaz'll be out looking for us if we stay gone too long..." he trailed, "Do you think I should... go see if that was his bike...?" he looked a bit drained just by saying those words.

Kari's stomach answered in response. "Yeah, let's." She got up from the bed and followed her to the door after she opened it and seen their brothers getting along. "I guess disasters bring even the ones who disagree with one another closer, hey?" She chuckled some before going past Uri and poking both the boys on the head, "We're going down to look for something to nosh on. You two coming?" She asked with toothy smile but before anything else she beamed at Roka, "The clothes fit great. You're really talented." The more she got talking to the other two, the more she was curious about the silent older one. She didn't want to step on any mines around him and have him not like her...
Zane shook his head when Isaac examined him. "She died right before my eyes... I... I didn't know what I should have done... But when she moved I knew that wasn't normal... I... I realized I was a monster too when her feet was frozen to the floor out of no where, because I was scared.. I wanted it to happen but it scared me once it did... Am I bad too...?" Zane looked at Issac with his big wide violet eyes that welled up with tears, scared that the lady who saved him would slice him up too once he said that he had these type of abilities.
Black widened her eyes in surprise. "Acid touch, hmm?" She asked looking down to the children who were talking to one another. "Didn't hurt me when he touched me.... Hehehe. Sorry you had to go through that, Zag... gy." She grinned at her new found nickname for the other shade of purple. Chuckling softly she nodded her head, agreeing with the male. Last thing she wanted was for Gaz to come looking for them on his own. Seeing Zags expression she took a step forward. She cannot imagine the pain he is going through right now, because that same bike was eerily familiar to the one she always seen parked outside the café when Orik was with Kiro while he worked.. Quickly pulling him into an embrace giving a tight squeeze. "Let's just go, Hun... He's waiting for us..." She said sadly, letting go while giving a forced smile. Too much heartache all around today. "We need rest." Turning around to the boys who now had their eyes on them with questions. "Shall we go boys?" She smiled even more. If anybody had hope things were going to be alright, that was Lilith.

Day 00

With a grin, Uri darted along behind her, and since the boys were now apart, she latched onto Roka's back in a quick jump. "To the kitchen!~" she demanded before he had time to answer Kari. The two of them ran past the older two with ease seeing as they were both short for their species. Eventide however was a bit more quiet than he was before he finally took a deep breath and caught Kari's arm to stop her now that they were alone. "I've been rude.. let me apologize for that." he frowned, there was a lot he'd been through lately... so his words always felt so foreign. The purpling raised a hand to shake with something of a crooked smile. If someone had just seen Eventide in public, they'd have expected a mental-hospital-reject instead of an A-honor-roll student.
In fact, Eventide didn't exactly look like someone who'd be apologizing for his own rudeness. His outer appearance was abused looking. The eye that his hair covered was quite obviously blackened and the scars on his lips were obvious from biting them. The skin that his shirt didn't cover around his neck was a mix of bruises with some recently healed scratches that wrapped all the way around, perhaps it was rope burn? And then his arms were bandaged from shoulder to his palms, and then some of his knuckles were a mix of bruises and cracks. Despite that, his clothing was pretty bland with his grey baseball jersey with bright orange lettering to his tattered jeans that's openings revealed more bruises and cuts. The kid looked like he'd been hit by several cars, but he seemed to be in perfect health. Which might be different had he tried explaining that his practical soulmate had been killed a week earlier and his sheep had come up missing. The kid was like the perfect mix of Gaz and Zag to the t. But he cleared his throat, and brushed his hair out of his eyes. "It's nice to meet you Kari... Sorry about not talking much earlier. It's... not my best suit." he nodded, bringing a bruised hand up to rub at the back of his neck.
Back in the center, Issac was appaled when he heard the other call himself a monster. In fact, he grabbed the other child's shoulders perhaps a bit too tight. "No! You are not! You are not bad!" By complete accident his acid touch kicked in where it sizzled the other boy's sleeves, which had him quickly drawing back, "S-sorry!" he wiped his hands on his jeans and glanced away, "You're not a monster, Zane." The child looked around the room one more time before he trembled.
Indigo wanted to say so much, to beg everything and everyone to let him go check. But what would it accomplish? What would he do if he got to the scene and the body told him everything he ever wondered. And then... how could he face Uri like that, the two of them had been growing distant ever since her father left and if he'd smeared across the pavement.. Gods that made him sick at the thought. Zag shook his head and quickly picked up both of the kids. "You're right... let's go. I can... I'll talk to Gaz about it later... yeah." his tone was dropped, it was like there was some brick wall that was just thrown up as he stepped around a corpse to get to the door. Once they were outside he followed Lilith closely back to the Avenue and once again froze when they could clearly see down that stretch of road that led to the highway.
Something in his mind kept nagging him, something telling him if he didn't go down there he'd never know what to do with himself. He sat Issac and Zane down, "You two... wait here with Lilith." he turned to her with an empty smile, "I.. need to know, Lilly." just the way the words spilled his lips, there was no doubt he was slowly coming to terms with the fact his fox might never come back. Zag didn't even wait for her to say anything before he'd teleported himself to about thirty feet from the flames. The soft trembling turned into a bit of a constant jar before the tip of his combat boot hit the corner of a busted headlight. He didn't even pick it up, he just knocked it out of the way and continued to look around. There was blood here and there, but it wasn't too much.. and no body? He wondered if maybe the bike was parked here?
Heterochrome eyes scanned everything over, every inch of the motorcycle for familiar scratches and knicks.. but now? It's not like he could tell. There wasn't much left, but a familiar leather coat thrown off in the ditch caught his attention. He practically walked through flames for it, once it was in his hands he just stared at it. How? How was there no body? How was there so little blood? What had happened... He pulled the jacket to his chest as if it were something precious, but the lack of corpses made him ease somewhat. But then the motorcycle... he approached, just one more time and easily tugged off the bent liscense plate, tucking that against his chest with the jacket. There was nothing left for him to do, he couldn't put those flames out if he wanted... so he took a deep breath and walked away. Getting about halfway down the road and then teleporting to Lilith with an empty expression. "We.... we can go now." there was no emotion to his voice, there was nothing left.

When Eventide grabbed her arm she almost stopped immediately. Midnight purple spun around and stared at him curiously. Seeing him acting a little awkward she thought she would lighten the mood; extending a hand instantly and lightly pinching at his cheek, stretching the side of his lip so that half of his mouth would smile. Sure enough that might of pushed the line, but she wanted to show him that she didn't mind at all. If he had his reasons, she definitely didn't want to be the one demanding him to open up to her. "It's alright, Eventide-- oh! I'm sorry... Does it hurt?" She finally took notice if his appearance, wondering why he looked all beaten up. She suddenly became concerned about him, but whatever made his appearance appear so rough should be long gone. So many questions filled her mind but she was scared to push a button with him. "What happened to you?" Her lips curved downwards, showing concern.
Zane flinched at the sudden acidic feeling that ate away at his shirt. He looked down at it wondering what happened. His skin would have been scorched along with his shirt but a protective layer of ice froze over the top of his skin which it always does when it senses danger that could effect him. He smiled warily at Issac when he was told he wasn't a monster. "Aheh! Thanks Issa." When the were about to leave, the boy followed close behind Lilith.
As they stood waiting for Zag to check the destruction, Lilith watched with despair as she pulled the boys close to her. She sighed a little, hoping that it wasn't the worst case scenario. They waited and waited as Lilith kept her eyes on the empty streets, she glanced at the older male while jumping a little at his return. Seeing him with little to no emotion at all made her lower her eyes at the children. "Let's go now.."
As they made it past the gates at the Obsidian household, Zane looked up at the house with amazement. "Whoa.." He said quietly to himself. Watching Lilith open the door and holding it open for them. "Come on now, don't be shy." She said happily seeing Zane hesitate but slowly entering the house peering around corners. His eyes fixated on the Purple haired male with curiosity.
