Day 00

Buzzing... it'd been buzzing for hours. What was it? Unknown, there wasn't a rightful cause or reason... but there it was going on and on and on. The secondary had kept the kids in the cafe for a reason, something was wrong with the air.. he could feel it. Eventide had grumbled and growled about it, but was situated with Roka in a booth nearby the counter. Gaz wanted them close, today wasn't a day for playing. Yet... the buzzing continued, it rattled the windows at times and often caused flyers on posts outside to flutter to the ground. It was silent other than the road-noise, but there were times when explosions echoed off the horizon and the birds would erupt in clouds from the trees. It'd been this way since he woke up that morning, whose to say it wasn't happening as he slept? The air grew thick again and Roka finally caught his attention when he got up to let Zag back in.
The darker purple color picked the yellow shade up and toted him back to the booth, sitting him down in the same breath as Uri trotted in and locked the backdoor. "Some shits about to go down..." the stitched up male wasted no time in sitting on a barstool and pointing to the drink machine like normal. "You been outside? The entire eastern sky looks like something from a movie. All red and black..." he shook his head, no point in going into anymore detail. "I tried contacting the foxes but... you know Kiro's schedule." he glanced out the window, "I just hope those two aren't over there." When Gaz set the soda in front of him, he just stared up at the other male with a moment of empty eyes. "He'll be fine?" he spoke with a crack as Gaz ruffled the top of his hair.
"Don't worry about those two, Zachery." he offered a smile as another burst of heavy rumbling shook the cafe, this time a bit more... projected. "I'm going to call Lilith and have her bring Kari and herself up here...Not worried as much about Kaz. She's got Addy.." the secondary shook his head and excused himself to the side, making a quick snatch for his phone as he tapped a quick message out. He was sure she wouldn't turn down meeting he and the boys at the cafe, he hoped. "Maybe that'll go through..." his mumbling went silent when Roka and Uri had made their way to the bar with Zag and crawled onto the counter. "What can I get my Foxlings?"
"Nothin'." Roka nodded, the pigtailed sections of his wig bouncing, "When do you think this cloud will blow over? I'm ready to get back to work..." he huffed and smoothed down the ruffles on the bottom of his coat, "That costume was almost done..."
"And I'm ready to try it on." Uri added with a pleased grin before she flopped her fluffy tail at Zag. "Y'think it'll be soon too, Dad?"
Both the older males locked eyes before they sighed in unison, "Not sure." Gaz spoke over Zag and leaned against the counter. "It may just be something going on outside of state... but we've not heard from anyone off avenue, so it's... hard to tell for sure, Foxlings." Despite the grim undertone to his voice, the secondary perked up, "But! I'm sure it'll be over in a day or two. For now, just go play with Eventide while we wait on Kari and her mom, okay?" they nodded, quickly darting back to the booth where the silent purple shade was sitting.

The previous night, Kari and Lilith had an argument about Kari's choice on the new boy in her life. He had dropped out of school, and seemed like the type of guy Lilith knew all too well about back before she came to Spectral Avenue. Naturally, she didn't want her daughter being with him. She seen how he would always put her down for feeling comfortable in boys' clothing so she tried to dress more girlier, even now wearing a bit of make up just to please him. Lilith was infuriated with this because she didn't want her daughter to change herself for anyone. Not even for a boy. Especially after so much had happened within the year. Kari started asking people to call her by her actual name again, the experimenting with drugs have ceased since Lilith threatened her that she would do the same drugs and be ten times more embarrassing than she already is when Kari's with her friends. Nothing but the positives for them!
So the both of them, being both stubborn, sat in different rooms during this time now. The shutters were closed, and barely any light was making its way into their 2 bedroom apartment. Lilith had just finished making a sandwich and was about to bite into it until the was repetitive banging at the front door- which startled her and made her drop her sandwich back onto the plate. "Who on earth is that?" She whispered as she made her way towards the door. Kari being the curious soul she is, peeked her head out of her bedroom door to see who it was. "KARI. OPEN UP. ITS ME DEVON. CMON. YOU HAVE TO HELP ME. I RAN ALL THE WAY HERE!! PLEASE, MS DISRAELI!!" The panic in his voice made the kind hearted shade open up the door. Kari swung open her door to rush to her boyfriend. "Devon!" She shouted from behind her mother. Irritated, Lilith just stared at the boy after she opened it. Only to notice the blood dripping from Devon's black hoodie. "What the hell have you gotten yourself into?! Better not have lead some kind of gangsters here, I'll throw you right out to them if they come here asking for you!" Lilith shouted in a mild tone. The boy fell to his knees and Kari froze staring at the white bloodied T shirt that he wore under his unzipped hoodie. "What in the world happened to you, Devon?!" Kari shrieked as she fell back onto her butt, terrified. Not wanting to touch him anymore. Lilith's phone went off in the kitchen. "You're bleeding everywhere! What happened?!" Kari demanded again. "It's nothing like you've ever imagined.. Far worse than your average thugs-- erg.." Devon grabbed his side where the bloodstain got worse. "Look, stay there. I don't want you bleeding all over the place." Lilith commanded Devon while she walked past the two. Once she had retrieved her phone she looked at the message. It's from Gaz. She wanted to go terribly, but she had to handle this first. She sent him a quick reply stating that they'll both come stop by after this kid stops bleeding all over the place. She thought he was stabbed... She will soon find out how wrong she is. "I came from the Eastern part of the city, nearly ran 35 blocks.... I was so terrified... After this guy charged me and pinned me down he just.... Bit me! Right though my sweater!" Devon was explaining to Kari when Lilith came around the corner. "Bitten...?" She whispered.

That message didn't sit well with the Secondary the moment he read it, "Zag... watch the boys. I'm going to get her." he spoke abruptly, throwing his coat over his top and his keys to the other male, "S'only a ten minute walk, five if I run." he nodded and pulled his chainsaw from beneath the counter. This struck up Eventide's attention as he jumped the back of the booth and looked to the Secondary with almost pleaing in his eyes. "Don't worry Eventide, this time it's just in case... I've a bad feeling about this." he ruffled the purpling's hair and glanced to Zag who was standing now before finding Gaz's previous seat.
"Gaz... don't... don't get hurt." he commented and glanced to the side, scratching at the back of his neck. The two were close as always, that was something that even a spinning, razor sharp blade didn't seperate them. This froze up the Secondary before he rounded the counter and pressed a kiss to the other male's lips. Just a common thing for them, and as he parted, the other sighed. "Get back quickly... I don't like the way the air feels." his comment went on deaf ears as the secondary slung the chainsaw over his shoulder and was out the door.
It wasn't hard to wrap his tendrils around the weapon as he darted down the street toward the apartment, but when he was close enough to see.. blood he grew a bit more concerned. No, Gaz was more terrified than anything, he wasn't in that mindset today, he'd not planned on having to potentially use his saw. Purple dashed to the door and pretty much let himself in, minding the splotches on the floor. It wasn't as if he hid from them with the whole sawing thing... but today that wasn't the case. "Lilith? Everything okay?" his tone picked up, heterochrome eyes flickering around the room before he found his way toward the sound of people, minding not to knock his blade against anything.

Devon, laying there on the ground holding one hand over his wound which he has said to have felt as if it were on fire. Lilith standing over him with a soaked towel, and Kari kneeling beside Devon with tears threatening to pour out from her eyes. "M-maybe this is all just another bath salts incident.. You'll be okay!" Kari stuttered along with her words, refusing to think of the worst case scenario, and besides, nothing like zombies could ever exist in real life, could it? Yelling now, Devon swatted the towel away. "That mother fucker already had chunks bitten off of his face! You seriously think I don't know what's going to happen to me?! I'm a dead man, Kari.. This isn't a movie.." He lowered his eyelids, frowning some at the now sobbing Kari, before looking past her to find a purple haired guy. "Who the hell are you?" He asked angerly. Both of the colors that were here both looked to see who came in, finding Gaz, Lilith smiled and was about to go run and hug him but Kari beat her to it. Kari, wrapping her arms around GAZ before sobbing silently. "He's going to die, daddy! I don't want him to!!" She continued to cry in his arms. Lilith, for the first time in Kari's life had she heard her call him that. Smiling some, she noticed the chainsaw. "What's going on out there?" She asked him, clearly not caring about Devon (lol)

The moment Kari's arms were around his torso, he froze at the kid's situation. Something about it didn't sit well, and the way the younger girl spoke... he had to play the Dad's part. His gaze worked around the room, it was small so his saw would be a bit... messier with such close range. With a sigh, he turned his attentions to Lilith. "I.. don't know for sure. Can't get anyone off Avenue to answer their phones... nothin' good from the looks of it. Zag has the kids all at the cafe." his tone trailed off again as he looked over the male in the floor. And with a split second decsion he took a deep breath. "Lilly, you and Kari wait for me outside, okay? I'll do what I can to help this kid." underneath his tone there was a heavy sense of lies but one couldn't tell with Gaz. The Secondary shifted so he and Kari could lock eyes, his tone stern. "I want you to go with your mother, and the moment you leave this room, your hands go over your ears... your eyes are shut. Let Lilith lead you to the sidewalk." he took off his coat, and wrapped it around her shoulders. With the same notion he tightened the way his tendrils wrapped the chainsaw, and his gaze went to Devon. "I'm Gaz." he finally introduced himself, "Kari's dad."

Lilith feeling a tad but worried now, nodded her head to Gaz's instructions. Moving forward and grabbing Kari by the shoulders, motioning her to come along. "Come on now, Kari.. Let's go wait for your father outside." She spoke softly, knowing already what he's about to do. Hoping that Kari doesn't cause a scene. Kari on the other hand looked up at him with watery eyes, and nodded. Then she glanced at the motionless Devon, who had his eyes focused on the family watching them all. He clutched his wound and gritted his teeth. "Go on, Kari. I'll be fine." He half smiled knowing what was about to happen. She winced at those words, only hoping to believe them. She shook her head and pulled the jacket around her more and ran out the door. Lilith frowned and smiled at Gaz. "We'll be waiting.." She said softly, while giving him a light pat on the shoulder then she quickly followed after Kari. Devon, looking up at Gaz, still not knowing who he was to the girls until he told him his title. Surprised, he chuckled some. "Should have known... This is the start of it all isn't it.... Do it quickly.. AGH.." He lowered his head and shut his eyes tightly, waiting for his end. The pain was increasing. He could feel the burning sensation spread out to his body, his legs were already numb and his fever was making him sweat bullets.
Kari, crouching outside the apartment with her hands over her ears and eyes shut, while Lilith stood over her looking in both directions. The sound of the chainsaw revving up made her glance to the open window of their apartment. The screaming of a young man was heard. A few moments pass then silence again. Kari sobbed quietly to herself until the silence made her stand up and wipe her tears away. Lilith grabbed her and took her into her arms and hugged her tightly. "It's okay, my girl... From now on, we have to be strong... I can't believe this is happening..." She glanced around seeing the empty streets made her stomach tighten, scared of the events to follow.

When the door was shut, the personality had switched and things went dark on Gaz's end. Five minutes later, and the lights came back on, the area around where the kid had sat was a gorey mess. There was a pause as he shook the blood off the blade of the saw and tossed it back over his shoulder. He honestly hated doing this, but... sometimes it was for the best. The secondary wiped the blood from the lense of his glasses and headed outside. Locking the door behind him and shoving his keys into his pocket, Gaz quickly wandered down to the sidewalk with a half-hearted smile in place. When he met the girls he glanced around the area, the silence now was eerie, and even the buzzing didn't seem to make a sound anymore. "I'm sorry, Kari." his tone came out cold, but forced. In the same notion he waved toward the cafe.
"C'mon, we need to get inside before hell breaks lose. Dad has some weapons and such in the attic, we should be safe there." his tone trailed off, heterochrome eyes shifting toward where the gate to the avenue sat down the road. Another wave of bad vibes shot through him as he noted the color of the sky, darker than it had been. Purple placed an arm around both Lilith and Kari, practically rushing them to the cafe as quickly as possible. But when he opened the door, Zag was already on his feet and across the room to them.
The darker haired male stopped directly in front of them and looked all three of them over, "Whe--" he was silenced as Gaz quickly ducked around them and back behind the counter to replace the chainsaw in it's spot beneath the curtain. "There's a clean shirt in the lounge, Gaz, probably don't wanna be wearing that bloody mess should your parents come." his tone went dry when the Secondary had tossed his shirt into the trash and stalked off to the lounge. Zag, however, turned to Lilith with a tilted head, "You two okay? No one saw, no hurt?" his tone picked up some worry. Despite his outer appearance, Zag probably took the bill when it came to responcible-parent type, especially since Orik had left him. Even that insane undertone was gone, he was just a normal guy with some creepy attributes now.

Lilith looked around and seen Gaz and Zag's family, nonchalantly raising her hand giving a friendly wave to them all. "Hey!" She spoke cheerfully to the worrisome Zag that approached them at the doors. Kari, being motioned inside, ignored everyone and went straight for the bathroom. Blinking a few time as her eyes followed Gaz and then to Kari. Clearly they have the same genes! Sighing, Lilith looked over at Zag, whom she didn't recognize at first, and smiled. "No one saw, nobody's hurt.. Well, except Kari's little boyfriend whom she grown quite attached to these last couple months... He, well..." She glanced over to Gaz, who was covered in the boys blood. "Said he was bit by someone... This is the start of what I think it is, isn't it..?" Her lips formed a frown as turquoise hues stared at Zag hard.
Kari, in the bathroom, looked hard at herself in the mirror. Mascara was done that made her eyelashes look extra long than before, though it was completely smeared from her crying. Eyeliner, foundation, a small bit of lipgloss that have a bit of red tint to her lips. "I did all this for you... And you had to go and get yourself killed..." Her soft words turned into a small growl, as she ran the water and splashed her face, scrubbing hard to get off the mask that hid the real Kari. She finally got the last of the make up until the water gave out. Confused, she turned the valves all the way, but the water flow kept slowing down until nothing came out at all. She went and dried her face off, and when she did, she pulled off her elastic headband that was wrapped around her wrist a couple times and put up her hair, since keeping it the way it was made her look more like her mother. Now that her bangs were out of her face, you could see more of Gaz in her than Lilith. Huffing a few times before letting go of the puppy love she had for Devon, casting away her emotions so easily was most likely hereditary than learning it on her own. She was never really the type to cry over a boyfriend or girlfriend for long anyway, beside she knew she would now have to get use to it, people dying on her. This is just like her Favorite TV show, but she didn't know that it would eventually happen to the real world. Coming out of the bathroom, she glanced towards the direction her fathers experiment was, and moved to seat herself beside her mother who was now sitting at a booth. "I think the water was cut off... Why does this always happen?" She spoke to Zag, but then questioned herself, thinking about what events happened right as the apocalypse hit. "I'll go tell your father, wait here..." Lilith whispered, not wanting to interrupt Kari's train of thought. Peeking into the lounge, she called out to him, "Gaz.... Are you okay..?"

Day 00

Post by Purple on Jun 6, 2014 6:31:58 GMT
Zag wasn't going to answer at first, but he glanced away just as fast as their eyes locked. "I... don't know, Lilith." his tone seemed genuine for once, no longer carrying that past snicker that used to lace the edges. He was silent the rest of the time as everyone got comfortable, eyes still occasionally venturing the the shut lounge door before he sighed and found a seat near their booth. Roka on the other hand was now venturing to sit directly beside Kari with the biggest smile he could manage. The little boy looked like a carbon copy of Kiro, from his bright blue eyes to the almost bitter innocence across his face. But Roka wore a different brand of innocence, the kind that knew too much but understood the reasoning around it. He also dressed a lot differently from the fact that sometimes he was a boy, and sometimes not so much. He thought he and Kari might relate some, even though he was quite younger. "Y'know, you look a lot prettier when you're comfortable." his tone was low, fingers brushing his blonde hair from big blue eyes. "So don't worry too much, okay?~"
In the lounge, the story was different, Gaz had threw his glasses and collar on the table beside the sink in the lounge and began almost posessively scrubbing the blood from his skin. Once it was off, and he'd redressed in an almost identical outfit, he latched his collar back in place and removed his phone from his pocket. He dialed an unknown number onto the screen and stumbled back into a wall, sliding until his backside hit the floor. One ring... two rings... three rings... voicemail. That pushed him a little too far as he hung up and tried again. Once... twice... Gaz finally hit the record button and began pleaing with the phone for the Primary color he swore he hated to answer. But there was nothing, he dropped the phone and pulled his knees to his chest. The secondary didn't manage the normal world well.. and here was an apocalypse that had already caused him to raise a blade to someone who maybe could have been saved. What was he going to do if it got this far? He couldn't protect everyone, he couldn't... he didn't know how. When he heard his name, he didn't respond for a moment. But after a few minutes he took a deep breath, "I'm fine."
Shakily, he stood, and brushed himself off. "I'm alright now." he offered a smile to the black haired female as genuine as he could. Back in the other room, Zag had forced himself to move, standing at the window watching the sky light up with flames just outside the gate, the colors whom were outside were no longer there. Everyone was inside with doors locked, and that's when the blackout hit. The lights shot out and then the buzzing grew even louder. His first instinct was to grab the kids and Kari, then force them past Gaz and Lilith and into the lounge. This was an inside room, locked in here too with only a small window. It was safer in there than in the front. Gaz had quickly threw an arm around Lilith and pulled her to his side. "This... may be worse than I thought."

Kari kept her lavender colored eyes locked onto the sky, until she sensed someone a tad closer to her. Figuring it was her mother, she had an annoyed expression when she turned around. Only to find Roka with an adoringly large smile that Kari couldn't resist but to drop her expression and stare at him blankly, questioning herself he was real or not. Hearing his words surprised her as well, a bit flustered she reached up with a hand and lightly pinched a cheek of the little blonde. "Thanks... Roka..? My mom mentioned you a few times.." She began, thinking to herself that her mother mentioned how god damn adorable this child was multiple times, but didn't really care for children at the time... Until now. Smiling now, she shrugged her shoulders. "Already forgot about it, now." Turning her head back to the clouds, "Freaky, isn't it? It's probably just one big storm... It'll pass soon enough..." She didn't know. Some part of her knew that she was lying, while the other wished things would return to the way things used to be...
Keeping her eyes fixated on Gaz, she couldn't help but feel sorrow deep inside, lowering her gaze, she nodded, "If you say so, Gaz..." She didn't want to pry, it'd probably only make him sad. And since he's already trying so hard to be strong for them all, she didn't want to ruin that. Quietly, she thought of ways to cheer him up, when she couldn't think of any, she smiled as happy as she could, "Hey, Gazzles...!!!" The power suddenly shutting off sent a jolt down her spine, but she refused to move from that spot that could have sent her running for her apartment. After everyone moving back into the room, Lilith finally calmed down. Being pulled closer to Gaz only made her even more comfortable. Swallowing her human fears, she started to become more of the demon that she truly is. Nothing will stop her from wanting to protect these people...

And now, it was Eventide who finally spoke u-- well, stood up and went to the window. "Y'know, this is probably just some stupid joke from the h--!" before the words left his lips, Uri had trompt over and backhanded him hard enough to jar his stance. "Shut your mouth, Tide!" her words were sharp and laced with venom despite her otherwise calm expression. This got a soft grumble from Zag as he separated the two now arguing shades. Gaz sighed, turning his gaze down to Lilith before back to Zag. "We're going to need supplies, this is already turning tides. Zag. You stay here with the kids and Kari. Lilith and I will run to the house and get my other saw and some supplies. We'll just camp out here for the rest of the night and see if it blows over by tomorrow..." his tone trailed when Zag was standing directly in front of him.
"Don't." his words came out as he tugged the Secondary away from Lilith and wrapped his arms around the other's waist tightly. Lately, he'd depended on Gaz more than he should, and something told him he needed everyone to stay in one place. The Secondary returned the hug before trying to pry himself away, "Look Zag, we're going to need more than a handgun and a chainsaw, let me go..." before he could however, the other male allowed him to move just to smash their lips together. It took the Secondary a moment, but he slowly returned the kiss before he pulled away. The both of them locked eyes a moment before Gaz slipped away, "We'll be fine." he spoke and went back to Lilith's side.
"There a specific weapon you know how to use? I've got... well. There's a bit of everything in the basement." his tone trailed before glancing to where Zag had idly went to sit by the window. With a short sigh and roll of the eyes he paused, "Ah, I better let you say goodbye." he coughed awkwardly and took a step to the side before glancing away. Gaz still held a lot of emotions toward Black, everyone knew that. But he didn't exactly know how to balence those with everything else, and could only hope he didn't seem to... overly touchy about it. That was the last thing the shapeshifter wanted to do.

Staring at Uri and Eventide, Kari had a brief thought if that is what is what it would be like to have a younger sibling. She could only chuckle at the thought. "Come over here, you two. I have something that might take your mind off things." She called to the two, trying to get them away from the window. Despite the size of the window, she thought that perhaps that maybe they could be seen by something that would eventually forcefully invite themselves in. But that's not something Midnight Purple worried about at the moment. She had to think of a way to distract the kids from being a bit curious about the events that were going to take place. Right as she got their attention, Kari dug around in her shirt until her hand brushed against her friend. Nobody noticed her run right into her room before leaving the apartment, but she couldn't well leave Loki behind to starve. The sleeping snake was awoken by her touch and uncoiled itself from her arm where it stayed to keep warm. Slithering its way to coil itself around Kari's wrist. Taking the snake out, she showed Roka. "Well, someone. Not something. This is Loki! This little guy is my baby." She smiled at the multicoloured snake with the most loving eyes.
Having Gaz tugged away from her, she smiled at Zag's affectionate worry for Gaz. "We do need more weapons... Who knows how long we'll be here too, I mean, hopefully we won't be and everything will be alright by tomorrow.." Her voice trailed off when there was a sudden explosion sound. Her first thought was of Tolbert, since he was so into explosions.. Turquoise... She sighed some, knowing that he was probably someplace far away since we didn't see much of him at all. Which made her kind of sad. Gaz returning to her side cheered her up though. "Don't worry about him, Zag. I'll protect him! I'm not some weakling that needs protection!" She raised her hand and clenched her fist in front of her to show her determination! "We'll watch each others back." She canted her head to the side and grinning. Looking at Gaz, she shrugged her shoulders, "Anything and everything! Let's go take a look! Kari, dear! Your father and I are going to his place to get some supplies! Stay here and help Zag with the kids!" She called to her daughter and she noticed the hideous thing in her hand. "YOU BROUGHT THAT SILLY SNAKE?!" She shouted now, she always hated anything that slithered around. Reminded her too much of tentacles, and the only person she had come to love has tentacles, so she had no problem with Gaz. But anything else that has tentacles or resemble tentacles in anyway scared her.
Kari jumped at her mothers surprise and she glanced towards her mother and father. Getting up from her seat to rush to the two and frowned. Having fear in her eyes as she looked at the both. "No.. You guys can't go! I don't want you to get hurt..." Her voice was trembling as the image of a bloodied Devon haunted her thoughts.
"Kari... We'll be fine... We're different from Devon, we aren't... Human... So if anyone would survive this situation, it would be us. Right, Gaz?" Black turned her head to Gaz, waiting for a reassured comment before we left. She pulled Kari into a tight hug, kissing her on top of her head. "We'll be fine, love..." She gave another right squeeze before letting go. "I love you." She smiled at her only child that stood there with a worried look on her face as she stared at the two making their departure for the Obsidian household.

Day 00

Roka had squeaked at the snake, but was eager to touch it with a grin. "It looks just like Thresh!" his tone picked up, "Dad has this huge snake at home that takes up a whole coffee table." The fox twitched his ears and glanced to Uri who had made herself occupied with playing with Eventide's hair somewhat posessively. "Hey gu--... oh. Nevermind." Roka grumbled under his voice before he called out to Gaz, "Bring me some jeans back! I wanna go run too!" he gave a toothy grin before his attention went back to the snake.
As for Zag, he just... sat there quietly as if the world was walking away. The reality wasn't as bad, he just didn't know what to do without Orik's command... alas that wasn't here anymore. Gaz wasn't as obvious with his feelings, not sense he tore those remaining emotions from his heart. That was the thing that set the two of them apart... Gaz was colder now and Zag was harder to handle. The secondary waited til' Lilith was at his side to shut the door and listen for it click. For a moment he looked lost, but found his way to pick up his chainsaw, offering Lilith the handgun that had been sticking out of the side of his jeans. "Not much, but it fires." his tone was somewhat lowered, almost as if it might crack.
"We run over there, grab my bag of supplies and some weaponry, and I can load Snips and Thresh up together.." his tone trailed, "Anything else you can think of? I mean... the cafe has food.." it was obvious now there might be some panic under his tone, as if he was finally showing those eotions he'd forced himself to hide beneath the heaviest of locks and the most precise of keys. He brought his empty hand to push his glasses up, "I... guess we go." he offered something of a grin to her.

Keeping the handgun close, she followed behind Gaz closely, keeping an eye on their surroundings until they both reached his home. Another loud explosion not too far from where they were made Lilith slam the door behind them. Startled, she looked at Gaz and smiled sheepishly. "The wind." Having thought on what was needed, she nodded, "Well, yeah there is probably most likely everything we need at the café, all we need is weapons... Couldn't hurt to bring more water. Do you have any bottled water? Perhaps any medication that you guys need to take?" She spoke softly, then she stared at him for a moment before taking a step closer and pulling him into a tight embrace. "He's most likely okay, Gaz... He can handle himself, I'm sure... He probably has Orik with him... Everything's going to be okay, alright..?" She cooed, rubbing his back gently as she would to Kari after she had a night terror. She pulled back from the embrace and lifted her hand to brush the hair away from his glasses, only for the hair to fall back into place. Smiling softly, her eyes filled with warmth. "We're going to be fine."

Once in the house, Gaz had froze up some before Lilith had embraced him. Without even thinking he'd returned the gesture with a loose sigh of relief. "I know, Lil, I know... I just worry about him." he mumbled, but leaned somewhat when she brushed his bangs from his eyes. "You're right..." his tone trailed before he locked eyes with the female. There was a pause in everything before he leaned somewhat and pressed a warm kiss to her lips, "We'll be fine." he'd nod once he'd pulled away. There was no real reason behind his little act of affection, it'd been pretty absentinded in it's wholesome. He quickly took a step back, thinking he may have pushed some boundary, "I-I'm sorry, that was rude of me." he rubbed the back of his neck and then quickly perked back up when barking was heard from the living room. Before long the barking faded as an oversized retreieve pranced into the room with it's tail wagging, quickly sitting down and waiting paitiently for attention.
