We all start somewhere.
From the beginning of time, the universe has been dotted with stars and planets alike. Billions of life forms living in harmony without even noticing the existance of the other's. The balence of an entire nova living in complete peace. Throughout a small little galaxy, billions of colors and shades create the masterpeice of a nebula or the feirce colors of the planets as they align. Without colors, there would be nothing. There would simply be black, white, and gray. From these mixes, Mother Nature created a son and a daughter from the expanse. Calling her new children Colorless and Drab, this was the first embodiment of white and grey. Of course, Father Time would not be outdone. And from the darkness in the sky, he created Listless and Monochrome, the first creatures wearing black. Once these creatures were created, they realized a universe could not function with just an expanse of nothing. So to these children they created a universe that they called the Milky Way. Together, they decided to combine the elements and create twelve individuals. To Mother Nature were, the Blues, the Yellows, and the Purples. And to Father Time were, the Reds, the Oranges, and the Greens. With these vibrant colored individuals, they were sent to a simple planet. Earth. Over time, the colorless planet became vibrant and the universe around it became more shaded. Whites being replaced with a spectrum of hundreds of little shades and specks. Of course, there couldn't just be demigods on Earth, so the founders made the humans for Earth. And scattered a billion different creatures across the expanse of an entire system of planets. Slowly, even these creatures took to the color. And before long the world and all those around it were lighting up the solar system. Every creature was born with a color, and from that came the first generation of shades and variants. Before long, those beings who founded our world found themselves torn for power. Should they follow Colorless in a world of equality for all colors? A society where the humans would never find them and threaten their existence. Or should they follow Monochrome's lead and reign higher than the humans? Make themselves a kingdom and refuse to let anyone in who they deemed unworthy? A place to play god? They came together to decide, but ended up being split down the middle. They couldn't all live in harmony anymore, their ideals conflicted too much.
Against the will of Mother Nature and Father Time, the colors separated for the first time in their existence. The most of them left and went with Monochrome, but a few stayed with Colorless. Those who left with Monochrome ended up on an island in the center of the Bermuda Triangle. Deciding this was the place they would be able to control the world from, because they were hidden from everything here. The only four that were left with Colorless were iffy about starting their own homestead, but found that it was easier than they thought. With the help of a furious Mother Nature, she created a forest for her only left believers. This forest was made of birch and was nearly impossible to travel through, she then created a dome in the center for her children. This dome was invisible from the outside world, but from the inside was a protective wall that ran for miles. All surrounded in Birch. She gave those remaining the necessary items for life, showed them the evils of the world, and brought in several children colors before telling them to do as they pleased. This was their world. This was the Spectral Avenue.
Father Time, on the other hand, was quite proud of his son leading the most of the spectrum. Watching as they created a utopia to themselves in the middle of nowhere. He watched from afar, however, never offering a hand. But as the world changed, the Monochrome Avenue began to lose colors. They simply ventured off into a world filled with humans, helping populate and creating stranger blends. But Mother Nature was none-too-happy with these antics and finally stepped in. With a hefty swipe, she killed out most of the shades and blends, leaving only the originals before she a second generation of those whom had ventured off to the Monochrome Avenue. These children, she cursed them. She cursed all the children born to the Avenues, and cursed each of Father Time's children. This curse gave each child something that would cause them to never be able to blend in with normal mortals. It was little things at first, but by the time there were children to the colors being born, it became more extreme.
Some of these second generation colors could see a person's lifeforce, some of them could bend their form at will, and other's would have the ability to completely extract the color from something. They were extremes, but also oddities. Tails on boys and horns on girls, her wrath knew no limits. With each time that the colors would reproduce, the curse became more obvious. Some would never survive being born and other's? Other's would be completely deformed. It was a never ending process. Slowly, over the years it seemed that Mother Nature had calmed down. Unfortuneately, it was just a short waited period before her wrath was placed in the form of a boy. His name was Hanz, and he was the first second generation to be called Green. His birth was meant to slowly rip the Spectral Avenue apart. Mother Nature no longer held any of the colors close and wished to cleanse them away. Green was her means of cleaning the world of it's colors without taking away it's pigments.
With Green, she made it seem like a love triangle between three boys. Her target was the main family on the Avenue, the leaders and their children. She started with the second generation Purple and Yellow, adding Green to this seemed to be perfect. He played the part in successfully convincing humans that the colors were evil. That if all the families stayed together, they would dominate the entire world, there would be no more happiness. Just a world where colors reigned as Kings and Queens. This terrified the humans, and their scientists began to derise a plan. They would slowly tear the dome around the Avenue and begin polluting the air with a chemical agent that would cause a widespread blackout. No one would be left standing. And slowly, they took the colors and brainwashed each and everyone before sending the main families back to the Avenue. This caused a widespread confusion to the colors who had never left the avenue. Because now they had no clue who or what they were.
Everyone was lost, the Avenue was empty and the humans felt safe again. Alas, Green was also a victim to the charade. A victim, and a test subject to the now plotting scientists. They figured if they could find a weakness to these beings, they could put a permanent end to them. Much to their blindspots, those memories they thought they wiped were still in each color. They each still possessed them, but they were foggy. This fog, however, could be cleared by electric touches to various objects or even pictures of places. Scientists didn't seem to catch on as the colors began to remember things slowly. They were oblivious to a little cafe that just so happened to open around the time. A little place called the Color Scheme Cafe, and it's owners? The Obsidian family. Scientists found this to be innocent enough, but began noticing more and more colors showing back up.
Suddenly, there was a spark somewhere. And from this little neighborhood came headstrong, angry individuals. With the help of Colorless, Red created a new dome for the avenue. This one was much more powerful and could only be voided if the gates were opened. But once the Avenue's housing was full, he closed the gates. Colorless on the otherhand, began work on a new type of monster. The neons. They were colors, but were blazing in color and distinct from the other's. They were zombies, however and didn't fit well in with the other's. Most of them found themselves at home with just doing odd jobs, but some ended up more successful than other's. However, she didn't try doing away with them as much as she studied them. They were unstable but were easy to maintain if kept with a neutral color.
These studies became the first in Spectral history to ever venture past the sciences of man. After that? It became endless. She'd make colors out of nothing more than spare DNA and creation-pods. Going as far as making her own androidic races, this and spending time completely studying the genetic makeup of the shapeshifters on the Avenue. Colorless' studies showed her all the things that made men and women tick, every strand and fiber in their beings. Other scientists on the Avenue pleaded with her to stop playing God, but she continued. She created children that could control Nature's Curse, she made a stronger generation than what the high Mother had ever expected. However, things didn't stay rosey with Colorless as another scientist, Carmine decided to study the Avenue itself rather and the way to create humans.
Carmine began documenting changes on the avenue, explaining ways to the colors to keep their avenue friendly to them. And before they knew it, everyone felt like they were playing their own gods. It didn't seem to stop crimes nor help their society, if anything made more tensions arise. The question of religions came up, politics became something they questioned, and before long debates occurred. It led to the construction of townhall and the electing of Mayor Azure, who everyone knew as a simple cafe owner. Once more giving a power to the Obsidian family, but also keeping the Avenue under the offical rule of an original color. This being what finally sent Mother Nature off the deep end. And with the boom of her voice, she voided everything they ever stood for. She took away their happiness and peace. The high Mother put a plague on the entire world, simply to express her higher power.
This is where their world ended, and the new world began.
